26 mm diameter, 2.12 g, aluminum, flat edge denomination "20 LEI" and a worker standing, with rolled up sleeves, holding a part on anvil with tongs (left hand), holding hammer in the right hand; industrial background (smoke flues, conveyor belt, silos). In the lower obverse, under the anvil, somehow right, is placed H. IONESCU, the engraver's name.	inscription "REPUBLICA POPULARA ROMANA" meaning "ROMANIAN PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC", year 1951 flanked on either sides by a pair of squares, Romanian coat of arms

An unconfirmed information exists according to which there would also exist some 20 lei of 1952.
